Flue Gas Treatment systems

Typically flue gas treatment systems are required when particulates and other gaseous pollutants are required to be removed from exhausts.

Such pollutants include acid gases (such as SO2, HCl, etc.), heavy metals (such as mercury) and dioxins. Typically such pollutants are created by the conversion of waste or biomass into energy.

Under such circumstances a Lodge Cottrell FGT system may include sorbent injection (such as lime or modified version of this material or sodium bicarbonate). For the removal of mercury or dioxins then powdered activated carbon (PAC) is used. Lodge Cottrell are able to supply complete FGT systems incorporating several technologies to meet legal emission standards.
